JOHANNESBURG - South Africa’s case accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza is set to be heard in a week.
The first hearing in the Hague is set for next Thursday and Friday.
South Africa lodged the claim with the ICJ on 29 December and its 80 pages laid out a legal argument to prove that Israel has genocidal intent.
Over 20,000 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel began its military campaign with the stated intent of destroying Hamas which launched a brutal attack in Israel on 7 October.
