Discussion | Two-thirds of SA's water resources are contaminated

JOHANNESBURG - While water demand is expected to spike in South Africa over the next 20 years but supply will decline.

Water experts say the country is facing a water resources crisis and have described the state of wastewater treatment works as dire and widespread. 

According to the water and sanitation master plan over R300bn is needed to maintain the country’s water infrastructure over the next ten years.
