Giwusa wants justice for George building victims

JOHANNESBURG - The General Industries Workers Union of South Africa says the findings of a report into the George building collapse confirms what construction workers experience daily.

The Council for the Built Environment's report reveals sub-standard materials were used and regulations were ignored.

34 construction workers were killed and 28 others were injured when the five-story building collapsed in Victoria Street in May last year.

Giwusa President, Mametlwe Sebei says they want everyone who is responsible for this ordeal to be held to account.
