The Jobs Emergency | Western Cape's fight against unemployment

CAPE TOWN - High unemployment remains one of South Africa's uphill battles.
The Economic Development and Tourism Department in the Western Cape is teaming up with the private sector to tackle the crisis.

Between April and November, the partnership created over 2,772 opportunities for first-time job seekers in sectors like tourism and textiles.
Between 2021 and 2022, the tourism sector created about 154,000 jobs in the province.
