Karpowership SA | Bid to stop Richards Bay project

DURBAN - There's a new bid to stop the Karpowership SA's project in Richards Bay.

The Turkish gas-to-power promises to generate power on its floating gas ship and feed it into South Africa's electricity grid.

It is part of the solutions the country is considering to mitigate the effects of crippling electricity shortages.

The Centre for Environmental Rights has submitted an appeal to forestry, fisheries & environment minister.
