NHI faces another legal challenge

JOHANNESBURG - The National Health Insurance Act is facing yet another legal challenge.

The Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) is asking the Constitutional Court to declare the act unlawful and invalid.

The BHF contends Parliament failed to conduct a proper public consultation process.

The SA Medical Association, Hospital Association of SA, Private Practitioners Forum and trade union Solidarity also have legal cases against NHI.
