PRETORIA - Teachers' unions are bracing for staffing shortages that could impact the demand for school placements.

Overcrowding in classrooms disrupts the quality of education. This is according to Mugwena Maluleke, from the South African Democratic Teachers Union.
He says that due to the demand for schools, the pupil-to-teach ratio will continue to increase.
