JOHANNESBURG - The pressure is piling up on top of the Road Accident Fund.
The Board of Healthcare Funders has welcomed the decision by parliament’s Standing Committee of Public Accounts to launch a full inquiry into the finances and governance of the Road Accident Fund or RAF.
Road accident victims are entitled to receive payouts from the RAF in South Africa.
The Fund has been accused of holding up payments.
In addiction the CEO was placed on special leave following claims of corruption and mismanagement.
