PRETORIA - President Cyril Ramaphosa has promised to recruit more police officers in the fight against crime.
The South African Policing Union has welcomed the decision but is calling for government to extend this to the correctional services department.

It says the wardens face issues around overcrowding and that there's a need to increase capacity. SAPU is also calling for more resources for traffic officers across the country.
