WATCH | SA's ports struggling to keep up

 

CAPE TOWN - South African ports are too small to accommodate larger vessels, and with an influx of vessels docking at our shorelines, researchers say this will not only affect export and import operations, but coupled with a lack of maintenance of infrastructure and equipment, it will also negatively affect international trade.

In response, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research are working with port officials to address the challenges faced.
