Durban Chamber of Commerce says planned shutdown will hurt the economy
DURBAN - The Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry says the EFF's planned shutdown has made people fearful.
But it is encouraging businesses and workers not to be intimidated.

The EFF is calling for a national shutdown on Monday.
Durban Chamber of Commerce & Industry's Prasheen Maharaj said: 'There are fears I think it's human nature to be fearful but remember we're coming into a long weekend.

"There's a lot of people taking off on Monday so Durban is a vibrant local tourist destination and you might recall we had issues on our beaches in December.
"Businesses are really looking to recover the losses that they suffered in Durban."
