Fuel price decreases expected in January

JOHANNESBURG - Good news for motorists in the new year.

The Automobile Association is predicting a significant drop in the price of fuel in January.

Diesel is set to plunge by at least R1.50 a litre while 93 unleaded is expected to drop by 68 cents.

An even bigger drop is predicted for unleaded 95 petrol, at 82 cents a litre.

Paraffin is also expected to decrease by around R1.42.

These figures are based on unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund.
