PRETORIA - The Madlanga Commission says it is aware of reports about Major-General Feroz Khan’s health.
However, it has not received anything official from his legal team, which has since indicated that it will provide a medical statement.
Khan was expected to appear before the Commission on 1 September after he was hospitalised following a shooting in Houghton.
He was treated for injuries sustained in the shooting. However, reports now indicate that he has been readmitted to a Johannesburg hospital, days before he was due to take the stand.

After spending three weeks in hospital, Khan was discharged to an undisclosed location for intensive rehabilitation, according to his family.
Khan was arrested in May in connection with an alleged illicit precious metals syndicate and is currently out on R200,000 bail.

His name has featured several times at the Commission, including in connection with a drug bust.
Following former IDAC head Advocate Andrea Johnson’s testimony, Khan also faces new allegations.
The Commission has until 2 October to wrap up its oral submissions.
