KUGOMPO CITY - Last month, eNCA brought you the story of a missing toddler, whose lifeless body was eventually found near a river in KuGompo City.
The child's mother, Sinovuyo Blukwe, told eNCA that she suspected that her husband was behind the disappearance.
But in a bizarre twist, her allegations have backfired on her, and she has since been arrested.
Blukwe told eNCA in March how her abusive husband of 10 years had denied that their child was his.
He then left his home while Bhongweni residents searched for the missing child.
Blukwe's many allegations against her husband did not end there.
She also opened a case against him of rape

That allegation has now landed her in trouble, after confessing to lying to the police.
Eastern Cape Police say although no one yet faces murder charges in connection with the death of three-year-old Ntsikhayethu, the Director of Public Prosecutions is looking into a possible culprit.
While the investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of the toddler continues, the community of Bhongweni says they won’t rest until whoever was behind the disappearance is behind bars.
