JOHANNESBURG - Alleged crime boss Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala is expected to appear before the Madlanga Commission on Monday and Tuesday.
Matlala, who remains behind bars facing several criminal charges, is expected to be questioned about government tenders and alleged criminal networks.
The Commission aims to conclude Phase Two of its inquiry this month before moving on to Phase Three.
The next phase will include the return of KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi to the witness stand.
The inquiry will then compile its final report, which is due to President Cyril Ramaphosa by 25 January 2027.
