PRETORIA - The Madlanga Commission is warning that ongoing delays are disrupting its schedule and could prevent submission of its interim report within three months.
KZN Hawks Head Major-General Lesetja Senona will now testify on 27 January 2026.
Evidence leader Mathew Chaskalson says the delay allows Senona to submit his sworn statement before 16 January.
Senona and his son, Thato, are accused of maintaining a close, beneficial relationship with alleged Big 5 cartel member Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.
Meanwhile, Former Hawks Boss, Godfrey Lebeya says he's still waiting for the Commission to summon him.
Lebeya is set to address whether the deployment of the Hawks to Katiso “KT” Molefe’s house on December 26, during a political killings task team take down, interfered with the operation.

The commission will resume on Friday.
Lieutenant General Hilda Senthumule is expected to take the stand to speak about the 121 dockets attached to the political killings task team.
