Mkhwanazi to be called back to SAPS Ad Hoc Committee

CAPE TOWN - Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee has summoned controversial businessman Brown Mogotsi to appear before it as a priority witness.

Kwazulu-Natal Police Chief, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, will be called back to testify.

The Ad hoc committee has met to discuss operational issues.

Forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan will also reportedly be called to give evidence.

Mkhwanazi, the first witness to appear, will be asked to return at the tail end of Committee proceedings.

The KZN top cop will testify on his allegation, which he later withdrew, that former Police Minister, Bheki Cele, received cash from alleged crime boss, Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala.

Mkhwanazi will also respond to the testimony of other witnesses.  

The committee is expected to resume its work next week.
