JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that a second victim among the five women found dead in the Kempton Park area has been identified.
Three victims, however, remain unidentified as authorities continue working to establish their identities.
The bodies were taken to the Germiston Forensic Pathology Services facility, where forensic specialists are assisting police with the investigation.
The department says forensic pathology services are supporting the identification process, including DNA analysis.

“The identification process for the remaining three deceased persons is continuing,” the Gauteng Department of Health said.
The department is appealing to families who have reported loved ones missing and believe they may be among the unidentified victims to contact the Germiston Forensic Pathology Service.
Officials say the facility is working with police to analyse DNA evidence that could help confirm the identities of the remaining victims.
Families are being urged to come forward and seek assistance if they believe their missing relatives could be among the women whose bodies have been found.
