JOHANNESBURG - Molemo 'Jub Jub' Maarohanye maintains the case against him is fabricated.
The controversial media personality made a brief appearance in court on Monday.
The 45-year-old is charged following an alleged fight with an e-hailing driver at his Edenvale home last Sunday.
The state alleges Maarohanye pointed and discharged what appeared to be a firearm during the incident.
This is not Maarohanye's first brush with the law.

In 2012, he was sentenced for his role in a drag-racing crash that killed four Soweto school pupils.
Over a decade later, he faced claims of rape and attempted murder, but that case was later withdrawn.
His latest matter has been postponed to 24 August for further investigation.
