CAPE TOWN - Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee has heard how Vusimuzi Matlala financially supported Senzo Mchunu's ANC Presidential Campaign.

Matlala, an alleged crime boss in Gauteng, is facing several charges, including the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, Tebogo Thobejane.
The minister denies being involved with Matlala.
Meanwhile, MK Party MP, Sibonelo Nomvalo, says Police Minister, Senzo Mchunu, acted beyond his authority.

This corroborates National Commissioner Fannie Masemola's testimony that Mchunu overreached in his decision to disband the Political Killings Task Team.
Mchunu is testifying at Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee probing the criminal justice system.
