JOHANNESBURG - South Africa is in a state of crisis.
That's according to the director of Government and Public Policy, Ivor Chipkin.

He's penned an interesting piece stating South Africa is "blowing in the wind'.
Chipkin reflects on where we are as a nation and the influence of state institutions on our political sphere.
He says the promise of a non-racial democracy is far from a reality.
''Where we are as South Africa, we're in trouble at the level of ideas.
"Many institutions established and created are in fundamental trouble, we're in a stage of crisis," he said.
"It's not just about bad people stealing money and corruption, rather a crisis of politics and sense of who we are, the language of decolonisation, nothing radical at all."
