GOZONE

South Africa’s relationship with water has become increasingly fraught amid water shedding, unplanned outages and avoidable deaths from cholera.

Clean water has become a highly sought after commodity and where there is a need, there is opportunity - at least that's what a group of entrepreneurs believed when they bought into Gozone last year. But months later, having forked out big bucks, some don’t have much to show for their investments.

We go looking for the men behind the mess.

DRIP SHOES

A lifestyle sneaker brand that calls itself the “Township Dream.” Thirty-four-year-old Lekau Sehoana clawed his way out of an informal settlement and created an internationally recognised business empire.  The first sneaker stepped out in 2020 and today the company has 25 upmarket stores.
