JOHANNESBURG - It's been one of the most contentious and highly debated form crime in South Africa, for many years. Now police say farm attacks are on the decrease.
Police say the breakthrough has come because of the successful crime prevention programme focusing specifically on rural areas.
However, there are still lingering concerns in the farming sector, particularly the loss of skilled, experienced farmers, should attacks flare up.
