Alleged KZN family killer expected in court

RICHMOND  A 51-year old KwaZulu-Natal man is expected to appear before the Richmond magistrate's court on Friday morning.

He was arrested in connection with the grizzly double murder of his mother and his sister.

Police responded to reports of a shooting on Wednesday.

On arrival they found the bodies of an 87-year-old woman and her 39-year-old daughter.

Their heads had been chopped off and stashed inside a pit latrine.

The shooting was witnessed by a 12-year-old girl who escaped and alerted neighbours.
