Malema invites Mkhwanazi to join the EFF

CAPE TOWN - EFF leader, Julius Malema, has thrown his support behind KZN Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.

Mkhwanazi made damning allegations of corruption and collusion among senior SAPS officials, the judiciary and criminal syndicates.

The KZN top cop specifcally accused Police Minister Senzo Mchunu of unilaterally disbanding the Political Killings Task Team and redirecting 121 active investigation dockets to the office of National Deputy Commissioner Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya, where they have allegedly been neutralised.

President Cyril Ramaphosa responded by placing both Mchunu and Sibiya on leave of absence while these damning allegations made Mkhwanazi are being investigated.

An ad hoc portfolio committee, which the EFF is part of, has been established to investigate the claims.
