UPDATE | 11 miners die in Rustenburg mining incident

JOHANNESBURG - Eleven miners have died after an elevator incident at an Impala Platinum mine in Rustenburg, North West.

An elevator transporting miners up and down the shaft unexpectedly dropped 200 metres.

Investigations into the incident are underway.
