JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation on Thursday afternoon.
Ramaphosa will be accompanied by acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia.
It's highly anticipated that the president will address issues relating to the police top brass- after what has emerged at the Madlanga Commission and Parliament's ad hoc committee on policing.

ANC veteran and former minister Naledi Pandor shared her thoughts on what has been laid bare during these proceedings.
"What this moment indicates is that strong action is needed," Pandor said.
"I think persons who are facing charges should be suspended, individuals who are arrested and are charged in court don't belong in senior public service and we should be resolute on this and not appear to be hesitant to take action to show the country that we are serious on addressing these missteps and the corruption that has been evident throughout the work of the Madlanga Commission and before that of course, the Zondo Commission.
