Stage 3 blackouts implemented

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has announced the failures of three generating units means power cuts will be implemented from Sunday evening.

The power utility said, "We have been unable to replenish the pumped storage dam levels sufficiently for the week ahead. Therefore, Stage 3 load-shedding will be implemented from 8pm on Sunday until further notice."

Eskom says an update will be published as soon as there are any significant changes.
