CAPE TOWN - The Archbishop Tutu IP Trust wants the late arch's name removed from the Marabastad refugee centre, in Pretoria.
It's currently known as the Desmond Tutu Refugee Reception Centre. It's instructed lawyers to withdraw permission in the use of the name.
This is after raids by the SIU and Hawks at various refugee facilities across the country. The trust says there's been too much negative publicity around the facility which Tutu allowed to be renamed after him, in 2016.
Chairperson Dr Mamphela Ramphele spoke to eNCA's Dan Moyane on this.
