Undertakers call for blackout exemption

JOHANNESBURG - Undertakers want government to exempt them from rolling blackouts.

They say power cuts mean they cannot store bodies for long periods.

Funeral directors are now urging people to hold shorter ceremonies as they did during COVID-19.

They also say it is making the cost of funerals more expensive.
