Milnerton shack fire kills 3, some residents left destitute

CAPE TOWN - Three people, including a 12-year-old, died in a shack fire in Joe Slovo informal settlement in Milnerton.

Residents say the incident occured during power outages in the early hours of Sunday.

Fourteen homes were destroyed, and some residents say all they're left with are clothes on their backs.
