Six accused in Luke Fleurs killing to apply for bail

JOHANNESBURG - Six suspects arrested in connection with the murder of Kaizer Chiefs defender Luke Fleurs will make a bid for bail today.

The men will appear at the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder, robbery and aggravation, possession of firearm and ammunition and defeating the ends of justice.

The case was postponed last week due to outstanding documentation.

Fleurs was given hero's honours when he was laid to rest in Mitchell's Plain over the weekend.

The 24-year-old soccer player was shot and killed in a botched hijacking, before his car was stolen at a petrol station in Roodepoort on the third of April.
