Severe weather warnings are in place for the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. Areas between KuGompo City and Port Edward face an Orange Level 6 warning for disruptive rainfall, flooding and possible snow, while parts of KZN are under Yellow Level 4 and 2 warnings.
Six people have died in a head-on collision on the N2 near Mooiplaas outside KuGompo City. One vehicle caught fire, and motorists have been urged to take extreme care.

And finally, France appointed Zinedine Zidane to succeed Didier Deschamps, while the All Blacks named a 44-man squad for their South Africa tour. Ardie Savea will join only for the opening Test.
