Gun Free SA calls for reinstatement of specialised firearms units

JOHANNESBURG - Gun Free South African is calling for the Police's Specialised Firearms Unit to be reinstated countrywide.

This comes after around 130 people were killed in the Western Cape during the last week of September.
Most victims were killed in robberies and gang violence involving guns.

Gun Free SA director, Adele Kirsten says that it is essential to recover guns used in crimes and get them off the streets.
