WATCH | Table Mountain fires flare up overnight

CAPE TOWN - Fires on Table Mountain in Cape Town flared up significantly overnight. 

At least five fires were reported over the weekend as a result of lightning strikes. Firefighting crews are hard at work trying to contain the blazes.

Table Mountain National Park Fire Manager Justin Buchmann says that while there is no immediate risk to residents, they will continue to monitor the situation.
