GBV Epidemic | Women lawyers call for specialised GBV courts

PRETORIA - The South African Women Lawyers Association wants the government to fast-track the implementation of amended laws, to address gender-based violence and femicide.

Thousands marched to the Union Buildings to hand over a memorandum of demands this morning.

Just this week, the body of 16-year-old Machaka Radebe was discovered with a stab wound, after she went missing last week.

The country is currently observing 16 Days of No Violence Against Women and Children.
