It was a very interesting end of the week and start to the new one, after KwaZulu-Natal Hawks Head Leseja Senona was escorted out of his office on Saturday.
SAPS provincial spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said it was unusual for Senona to go to the office after hours. He parked his vehicle outside, despite having parking inside the building's premises. He allegedly used the pedestrian gate and refused to sign the register as he entered the building.
According to Netshiunda he was also seen talking to a Colonel in his vehicle for 45 minutes. The Colonel also refused to sign the register upon entering the building
Senona later alleged he was followed home and feared for his life. His lawyer Rudolph Baloyi later refuted claims that he was in hiding.
Baloyi said they are now seeking clarity over the seizure of Senona's work devices and his employment status as he was not suspended.
